Rebecca Cosgrave
Rebecca Cosgrave is the Lead Primary English Adviser with Babcock LDP, based in the South West. She has extensive experience as an adviser and as a teacher in London and Devon.
The Babcock LDP team support all aspects of school improvement in English, including training and support for subject leaders. Together with the team at Babcock, she has written No Nonsense Grammar, No Nonsense Spelling, No Nonsense Literacy (for Raintree) and recently Wand Spelling.
Alison Jones
Alison Jones is an adviser in the Babcock LDP Primary English Team. Alison is a trained Reading Recovery Teacher Leader, an associate trainer with the Institute of Education, UCL and Edge Hill University.
She regularly works with Teachers and Teaching Assistants, training them to deliver evidence based interventions and supporting them to develop their own subject knowledge and improve their practice in wider roles in school.
The Babcock LDP team support all aspects of school improvement in English, including training and support for subject leaders. Together with the team at Babcock, she has written Wand Spelling and Re-think Reading!.
Part of Babcock LDP Primary English Team, Alison is the author of No Nonsense Spelling, alongside Rebecca Cosgrave, Rebecca New, Jenny Core
Jenny Core
Jenny Core works currently as one of Babcock LDP’s Primary English Advisers. Her role involves providing training for teachers and English subject leaders in all areas of primary English, supporting teachers in the classroom and co-writing teaching publications such as No Nonsense Spelling and No Nonsense Grammar.
Jenny is an experienced primary class teacher, senior leader and English subject leader with experience in schools in the UK and abroad. Her most recent teaching post was in a Devon primary school from 2012 to 2014.
In addition to working for a number of years as an English Adviser, Jenny also worked as a Primary Languages Adviser for Devon between 2005 and 2012.
